Dallas Mavericks beat Memphis Grizzlies and are joined by LA Clippers
Dallas Mavericks smashed the Memphis Grizzlies 102-76 to clinch a four-game sweep in their NBA's Western Conference play-offs quarterfinal.
And the LA Clippers joined the Dallas Mavericks in the West's semi-finals after thumping Denver Nuggets 101-83 to record their first play-off series win in 30 years.
Memphis Grizzlies made history but not with an impressive record, as they slumped to a record 12th play-off loss in a row, after being swept from the post-season for the third year also falling consecutively.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points and Josh Howard had 24 in the Dallas Mavericks' latest victory.
Dallas Mavericks now are awaiting the winner between the reigning NBA champions San Antonio and Sacramento whose series is tied at 2-2.
In LA, Cuttino Mobley and Corey Maggette each had 23 points and Elton Brand added 21 and 13 rebounds as the LA Clippers flew past the Denver Nuggets to end their series 4-1.
Sam Cassell and Chris Kaman each added 10 points and seven rebounds for the LA Clippers and Carmelo Anthony paced the Denver Nuggets with 23 points.
The LA Clippers will now meet the winners of the LA Lakers-Phoenix Suns series in the second round.
