Cleveland Cavaliers beat Detroit Pistons to take the basketball lead
Cleveland Cavaliers were victorious over Detroit Pistons 86-84 on Wednesday, which moved them into a 3-2 lead over the Eastern Conference champions.
LeBron James scored 32 points and assisted on Drew Gooden's game-winning shot with 27 seconds still to go.
Game six of the seven-game series is to be played Friday in Cleveland and if the Detroit Pistons force a decider, they will be back at their home court on Sunday.
The San Antonio Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks 98-97 and trail 3-2 in their Western Conference series.
Tony Parker scored 27 points for the San Antonio Spurs, while Manu Ginobili added 18 points for the winners.
Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas Mavericks with 31 points but they came up one point short of closing out the series.
In Auburn Hills, Detroit Piston's Ben Wallace missed two free throws in the final minute with the score tied at 84-84.
Gaining one of the shots would have given the Detroit Pistons the lead for the first time since the second quarter.
