Basketball star Kobe Bryant changes his mind about LA Lakers
Basketball star Kobe Bryant has changed his mind after asking to be traded from the Los Angeles Lakers, just hours after claiming he wanted to leave his team.
On Tuesday, Kobe Bryant, 28, had called the Los Angeles Lakers' management a "mess," and then a day later said he wanted to be traded. However, Kobe Bryant is reported to have changed his mind after talking to LA Lakers head coach Phil Jackson on the phone.
"I want to stay here. This is my team. I love it here," explained Kobe Bryant on KLAC radio.
Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss said: "We are aware of the media reports. However, Kobe has not told us directly that he wants to be traded.
"We have made it very clear that we are building our team around Kobe and that we intend for him to be a Laker his entire career."
Kobe Bryant has four years remaining on his seven-year, £101.6m contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
