Newcastle Eagles basketball coach Fab Flournoy takes blame
Newcastle Eagles British basketball coach Fab Flournoy says he accepts responsibility for his team losing 74-65 to the Plymouth Raiders at the British Basketball League Trophy Final.
Accepting that he was to blame Fab Flournoy said: "I blame no-one but myself for that. I made one or two bad coaching decisions and I did not put us in a position to take the opportunities we had.
"I will not pass the buck on to anyone else. I take all the criticism going."
The game had been held at the Newcastle Arena in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, and although there should have been a home advantage for the Newcastle Eagles it didn't stop Plymouth Raiders' Carlton Aaron from scoring 25 points and Gaylon Moore from earning another 19.
But Fab Flournoy was still optimistic for the future and commented: "Some time in the future we will have another opportunity."
