Milwaukee Brewers beat Cincinnati and set a record
Milwaukee Brewers baseball team became the first major league side in 40 years to hit five homers in an inning as they won Cincinnati 11-0.
Bill Hall, Damian Miller, Brady Clark, Prince Fielder and JJ Hardy all homered for the Milwaukee Brewers in a seven-run fourth and the last team to hit five homers in an inning was Minnesota way back in June 1966, in the seventh against Kansas City.
Three other teams have accomplished this sporting feat: the New York Giants (1939), Philadelphia (1949) and San Francisco (1961), and each time against Cincinnati.
And Barry Bonds made a great performance on Saturday, belting his first of the season during San Francisco's game in Denver against Colorado.
Barry Bonds, who started the game with no homers in 13 games, connected for career home run number 709 off Aaron Cook, a two-run shot, in the first inning and this home run brought Bonds to within five of tying with Babe Ruth, second on the all-time list. Barry Bonds continues to chase the all-time home run king Hank Aaron, who still leads with 755.
