Cleveland Indians baseball team lose to Boston Red Sox
Cleveland Indians baseball team have been seriously hampered in their attempt to reach the World Series after losing in a 7-1 defeat by the Boston Red Sox in the American League Championship.
Josh Beckett of the Boston Red Sox had 11 strikeouts as the Red Sox came back from 3-2 down in the best of seven play-offs series.
Josh Beckett allowed just one run on five hits to send both the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians back to Fenway Park for the sixth game in the series on Saturday.
The Cleveland Indians need at least one victory in Boston to make sure of a World Series showdown with National League champions, the Colorado Rockies.
In spite of their recent defeat, Cleveland Indians manager Eric Wedge is still feeling confident about his team's chances and he said: "You talk about beating a team like Boston four in a row, that's tough to do, particularly in the post-season."
