Boston Red Sox baseball team beat Colorado Rockies
Boston Red Sox baseball team took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven World Series when they defeated the Colorado Rockies 2-1 at Fenway Park in game two.
Boston Red Sox's victory was mainly because of some brilliant hitting, but they also another showed that their pitchers can really excel at baseball too, and in fact, they stole the show.
Curt Schilling gave the Colorado Rockies one early run and Mike Lowell struck in the fourth and fifth innings for Boston Red Sox.
The Colorado Rockies, stunned by their 13-1 defeat in game one, got a boost of inspiration in the first inning from Todd Helton, but their inability to play well and keep up their performance long enough to win is a worry for their manager Clint Hurdle.
The World Series next goes to Coors Field in Denver, but Clint Hurdle admitted that the Colorado Rockies players would have seriously improve and he said: "It's disappointing, but we're going to go home and play some baseball."
