Baseball star Barry Bonds wants to play on
Baseball star Barry Bonds wants to play on in 2007 as he continues to chase Hank Aaron's all-time home run record, according to his agent.
Barry Bonds, 42, is 21 points behind Hank Aaron but he is coming to the end of his current contract with the San Francisco Giants.
Barry Bonds got a lot of bad press because of a steroids scandal and hampered by injuries, he has had a poor record this year but his agent Jeff Borris said: "Barry is going to play in 2007, and I have every reason to believe the Giants will contact me as soon as the season ends."
Jeff Borris added in an interview with the Los Angeles Times: "My intentions are to see to it he's in a big-league uniform next season. Those are my marching orders."
Earlier this month, Barry Bonds himself said on his website: "I feel that I can play and be productive next year."
