Baseball star Barry Bonds signs with San Francisco Giants
Baseball star Barry Bonds has made a decision about his future career and signed a new one-year contract with the San Francisco Giants and the deal is reported to be worth in the region of $15.8m (£8m).
Barry Bonds, 42, has had plenty of troubled times in his recent career due to bad publicity over doping allegations but no one can argue with his incredible success so far because he has made 734 career home runs, which is just 21 short of Hank Aaron's all-time record.
"I knew things would work out, this is where I've always wanted to play. San Francisco is what I love," Barry Bonds said.
"There's no better place to play than in San Francisco. This is my history and the people in San Francisco deserve it all," Barry Bonds added.
Barry Bonds, who has been with the San Francisco Giants for 14 years, recently came to the end of a five-year $90m contract but signing a new deal sets him up for a continued successful career in baseball.
