Seattle Seahawks defeat Green Bay Packers
Matt Hasselbeck of the Seattle Seahawks threw three touchdown passes as his team defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-24.
A record number crowd of 68,256 withstood the icy temperatures in a snowy Seattle where the Green Bay Packers extended their lead to 21-12 just over two minutes into the third quarter, however, just six minutes later Matt Hasselbeck threw in DJ Hackett and then put Darrell Jackson in to edge Seattle Seahawks ahead at the start of the fourth quarter.
Seattle Seahawks (7-4) are now two games ahead at the top of the NFC West division.
Brett Favre, who ignored an elbow injury to make his 252nd consecutive start, threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Donald Driver and two of his three interceptions came in the closing minutes as the Green Bay Packers desperately tried to salvage their game.
Green Bay Packers did cut the gap to three points thanks to Dave Rayner's field goal but Matt Hasselbeck then threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Jerramy Stevens to make sure the Seattle Seahawks won.
