Seahawks beat the Raiders in a rainy Seattle
In American football, Oakland quarterback Andrew Walter was sacked nine times as the Seahawks defeated the Raiders 16-0 on a windy and rainy evening in Seattle.
The Seahawks were without quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and MVP running back Shaun Alexander, but they scored all but three of their points in the first quarter.
Matt Hasselbeck's replacement player Seneca Wallace completed 18-of-30 passes for 176 yards in just his second career start and Shaun Alexander's substitute Maurice Morris ran for a career-high 130 yards.
Josh Brown scored three field goals, two in the first half and another late in the fourth quarter and Craig Terrill, who entered the game with two sacks in 25 career games, managed to sack Andrew Walter three times - all in the first half.
Seattle had conceded at least 28 points in their last five games but their first shutout since last December wasn't really surprising considering that the Raiders have the NFL's worst offensive record for the season.
