Pittsburgh Steelers beat Baltimore Ravens
Jeff Reed's field goal and 96 seconds left on the clock gave the
Pittsburgh Steelers a 20-19 home win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Pittsburgh Steelers were also indebted to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who threw two touchdown passes.
Ben Roethlisberger completed touchdown passes of four and eight yards
to tight end Heath Miller, while Hines Ward caught eight passes for 75
yards.
"Ben gave us the chance to make big plays," said Hines Ward.
Baltimore kicker Matt Stover made a Heinz Field-record 49-yard field
goal in the fourth quarter, but it was not quite enough for the
Baltimore Ravens.
The game was level at 10-10 at half-time but Heath Miller's second
touchdown gave Pittsburgh the lead going into the fourth quarter.
Pittsburgh Steelers drove 60 yards in to set up Jeff Reed's kick, and
held their nerve in defence to cling on to win. "It's a heart attack
sometimes," said Ben Roethlisberger.
"You don't want it to be this close. But this is what you dream of."
