New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin gets 4-year contract
New York Giants American football coach Tom Coughlin has just got himself a new four-year deal with the team after guiding the New York Giants to victory at the Super Bowl.
It is said that Tom Coughlin will be getting around $21m over the course of his new contract, which means he will be one of the NFL's most highly paid coaches.
New York Giants president and CEO John Mara said about Tom Coughlin's new appointment: "Tom has done a great job us and we think this contract recognises his outstanding achievement. This is a message that we want him to be our coach for many years to come."
Tom Coughlin had guided the New York Giants on their way to the NFL crown and this new contract is his reward.
Tom Coughlin said proudly: "I was thrilled to become the head coach of the Giants in 2004,"
"To be able to continue in that capacity - with this organisation, with this leadership, with this football team and with my coaching staff in place - is something I'm extremely excited about."
