NFL player Lawrence Tynes could play in London
Scottish NFL player Lawrence Tynes could be in on the action at October's NFL game at Wembley in London after being traded by Kansas City Chiefs.
Lawrence Tynes , 29, has been signed up by the New York Giants, who are playing against the Miami Dolphins at Wembley this autumn.
Lawrence Tynes took part in 48 regular season games and one play-off contest in three seasons (2004-06) with the Kansas City Chiefs, but he became a restricted free agent in March.
The New York Giants lost their kicker when Jay Feely signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent. Until the Lawrence Tynes trade, they had only rookies Josh Huston and Marc Hickok on their roster.
New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese said: "Tynes is a veteran who has kicked in some big games."
Lawrence Tynes played 10 NFL Europe games for the Scottish Claymores in 2002 before he joined the Kansas City Chiefs.
