Indianapolis Colts set to make NFL history
The Indianapolis Colts are only four games away from becoming the side
for only the second time in NFL history to go unbeaten in a regular
season.
Only Miami have previously managed it this 1972 - when the season was 14 games.
But the Colts edged closer to matching that achievement when they
trounced the Tennessee Titans 35-3 on Sunday.
They are only the fifth team in history to win their opening 12 games
and the first since Denver in 1998 and the Colts are already in the
play-offs.
Another team storming towards the play-offs are the Chicago Bears, who
finally got the better of arch rivals Green Bay at Soldier Field. The
Bears had not beaten the Packers at home since 1993 but the Bears'
awesome defence ensured a 19-7 victory.
Minnesota beat Detroit 21-16 and Kansas City were 31-27 winners over
Denver.
A massive clash in the NFC East saw the New York Giants take a one-game
lead over Dallas after they beat the Cowboys 17-10.
