Indianapolis Colts beat New England Patriots
Indianapolis Colts NFL American football team battled back from 18 points down to defeat the New England Patriots 38-34 and set up a Super Bowl match against the Chicago Bears.
And it was quarterback Peyton Manning inspired the Indianapolis Colts' comeback and provided the leadership the Colts needed to clinch the AFC Championship game.
Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning held his arms up in triumph as Joseph Addai crossed the goal line to give the Indianapolis Colts a 38-34 lead over the New England Patriots with one minute left in the AFC Championship Game at the RCA Dome.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears, taking a 16-0 lead, went on to score three late touchdowns and beat New Orleans Saints 39-14 to win the NFC Championship.
Looking ahead to their meeting with the Chicago Bears at the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning said: ''I watched a pretty good amount of that Bears-Saints game today, and it was not a good feeling seeing how good that Bears defence is, so we'll have a big challenge when we get to Miami.''
