Former sprinter Dwain Chambers's new NFL career is over
Former sprinter Dwain Chambers' first season in his new chosen career in the NFL Europe is already finished after he sustained a fatigue fracture in his foot.
Disgraced athlete Dwain Chambers, 29, had been hoping to carve out a new career in the sport of American football for the Hamburg Sea Devils after he had served a two-year ban from athletics for being found guilty of doping.
Although Dwain Chambers does not need surgery to his foot he has been told that he cannot risk further injury to it.
A very disappointed Dwain Chambers said: "I've no idea how this happened but I've never felt so much pain."
Dwain Chambers had been in the news again earlier on in the same week for saying that drug cheat athletes would always remain one step ahead of the dope testers, and in reference to his own experience he had said: "Some people take chances, some don't, and I was willing to take that chance."
