Buffalo Bills player Kevin Everett very seriously injured
Buffalo Bills American footballer Kevin Everett, who plays as tight end, is described as being in a life-threatening condition after he was seriously injured whilst playing against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Kevin Everett, 25, had spinal surgery but surgeon Dr Andrew Cappuccino explained on the Buffalo Bills website: "We are still gravely concerned."
Kevin Everett was injured whilst making a routine second-half tackle against Domenik Hixon and after he was taken off he could only move his eyes.
Although the operation was successful, apparently Kevin Everett's chances of a full recovery are thought to be less than 10%, it has been reported.
TV replays of the incident when Kevin Everett was injured showed him twitching for a few seconds as he tried to get up before falling back on the floor, and after that he made no movements during the next 15 minutes as he received emergency medical treatment.
