Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell, Calvin Johnson tipped for NFL draft
American football playing quarterbacks Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell and wide receiver Calvin Johnson are all favourites to be picked in this weekend's NFL draft in New York.
Oakland Raiders get the first choice in a two-day event where 255 players are selected in seven rounds by the 32 NFL teams.
Detroit, Cleveland and Tampa Bay follow the Oakland Raiders in the draft order, which goes from the NFL's worst to best, however, Oakland could trade their top selections for extras in lower rounds.
JaMarcus Russell, 6ft 6in tall, 260lb weight and from Louisiana State, has the most powerful arm of this year's college quarterbacks and he is optimistic about his chances in the draft.
JaMarcus Russell said: "It doesn't matter what the situation is, I always stay poised.
Brady Quinn is 6ft 3in and 230lb and is thought of as one of the best after four seasons at Notre Dame, whilst Calvin Johnson, a 6ft 5in wide receiver from Georgia Tech had impressed with his pre-draft workouts.
