Baltimore Ravens player Steve McNair retires
Baltimore Ravens American football player Steve McNair has decided to retire ending an impressive 13-year NFL career in which he earned the title of co-MVP and helped lead the Tennessee Titans to the Super Bowl.
Quarterback Steve McNair, 35, also guided the Baltimore Ravens to a 13-3 record in 2006, in what was his debut season with them after 11 years with the Tennessee Titans.
However, last year was a bad year for Steve McNair because he played in only six games due to a series of injuries.
Steve NcNair started his career in American football in 1995 with the Houston Oilers, the team who were later become the Tennessee Titans.
Steve McNair was named NFL co-MVP in 2003, and he shared the honour with Peyton Manning, after throwing for 3,215 yards and 24 touchdowns with only seven interceptions.
Steve McNair had also had problems with injuries during the final stage of his career with the Tennessee Titans and he joined the Baltimore Ravens in June 2006 for a fourth-round draft pick.
